The Milićević family house was developed on a demanding plot marked by rocky ground and a pronounced terrain. The building is conceived as two functional parts: a commercial and storage space on the ground floor, and two apartments above, equal in area and almost identical in layout.

One of the main design challenges was to place a fairly complex programme on ground that rises naturally towards the back of the plot. Rather than reshape that configuration, the house is drawn partly into the hill and the rock, following the natural fall of the terrain and forming a firm bond between architecture and setting.

The architectural expression draws on motifs of traditional Herzegovinian building, interpreted in a contemporary way. Simple volumes, the balance of solid and open surfaces and natural materials connect the house to the local building heritage without copying traditional forms. The apartments are organised around open views towards Ljubuški, with privacy secured between the two units.

Particular care was taken to preserve the plot's existing character. The olive grove, the woodland and the natural rock were kept as an important part of the concept, while the new building adapts to the landscape in its position and volume.
